            Every three years, the DFG presents their Funding Atlas:
            a detailed evaluation of public research funding in Ger-
            many. In the current period, 2017-2019, researchers at
            TU Dresden raised a total of 293 million euros in public
            funding, which marks an increase of around 13 percent
            compared to the previous review period.

            In the special chapter “30 years of research,” the DFG
            praises TU Dresden’s performance as a “true success

            ing by 19 places.

            The university is particularly strong in engineering, where
            it places third in national comparison. In the field of
            computer science, systems engineering and electrical
            engineering, TU Dresden holds the uncontested first
            place with 51.7 million euros.
