years by the Office for Academic Heritage as historical artefacts. Examples include the li-

This collection documents national and international relationships between the TU Dresden
and other academic institutions, industrial entities and corporate bodies from numerous
states and every continent. The GDR period (1949 to 1989) is particularly well-represented in the
collection. An especially large number of gifts were added to the collection on the occasion of
the 150th anniversary of the Technical College of Dresden (TH Dresden) in 1978.

The Office for Academic Heritage has adopted historical teaching charts from numerous dis-
ci plines, especially natural sciences, and brought them together in a central collection. The
collection documents the development of these important didactic aids, from 19th century hand-
coloured copies to items from the GDR era.
